http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niko-Kranjcar-c27926, the 27-year-old Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder, revealed he did not want to leave White Hart Lane in the upcoming January transfer window.
Kranjcar has been out of action for the better part of this season because of which he has only made three appearances so far. However, he has returned to full fitness and could very well make an appearance in the Europa League clash against Shamrock http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385.
The playmaker is a talented player but has been highly unlucky this term. While he was injured, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 has firmly established himself in the first team and it will be a tough task for the Croatian international to oust the Welshman from the left wing.
Due to his unavailability, there is no doubt that Kranjcar will have a tough time establishing himself in the squad once again. However, the 27-year-old is not planning to shy away from the challenge and leave White Hart Lane any time soon.
Kranjcar said while speaking to reporters:
“I'm not one to knock on the manager's door [to complain]. I have always said I am happy to be part of the squad at Tottenham because I think it is an unbelievable place.
I would not really be interested if another club came in January.”
He admitted it was tough not being able to play despite being fit, but understood the manager’s concern in choosing a player who had recently returned from injury. Kranjcar revealed he was aching to return to first team action, especially with Tottenham
Hotspur playing top level football.
He revealed:
“It is the most frustrating thing about being a footballer - being out when the team is playing well. You want to be part of it.”
