  1. Use Liquid nail in addition to tap-cons. These are blue in color and for concrete. You have to drill a hole with the masonry bit that is provided with the screws. If you can get your hands on a cordless hammer-drill, it will make it easier. You drill the hole then run in the s***w.

  2. go to a hardwear store and ask for "tap-con" screws it comes with a drill bit most of the time. the ramset sometimes just blows out the concrete. they come in many sizes .

  3. you are asking for trouble here: a moisture pocket between the slab and the plywood. the concrete needs to be sealed first. your best bet is a 'loose-lay' of the vinyl held down with a perimeter baseboard or install it with perimeter glue. if you go with the plywood, make sure it is exterior grade and install a moisture barrier under it(tar paper or poly sheet). i really don't recommend it: the concrete is not going to be perfectly flat.

    Hope that helps, good luck!

  4. Construction adhesive (Liqiud Nails).

  5. the ramset is your best option here
