I am moderator of a Flickr group called Detective Magazine Covers, where collectors of vintage magazine covers (mainly from the 30s and 40s) exchange images. None of this is pornographic (it was published openly at a time when the p**n laws were a lot stricter than today). No nudity or explicit s*x allowed. The copyrights expired a long time ago. Now I find the whole forum is gone, my account deleted, and most of my contacts are also gone. I think you owe me an explanation for this. By the way, the e-mail address you have here is old, my current one is:

  1. Yahoo Answers is not Yahoo customer service. Questions here are answered by other Yahoo users. I think you may be mistaken about the copyrights being expired on magazines from the 1930s and 1940s, but I can only guess if your group was deleted for that reason.

  2. well, Flickr uses the same TOS as Yahoo groups does

    http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/uto...

Yahoo pretty much state they don't have to give reason or warning prior to any action they take.

hard to say why all this was deleted, I'd guess some one sent in a complaint and Yahoo found confirmation of it.

sorry, not much you can do but send the help form yourself
