Attend or know someone at Spelman College?

I'm a high school sr in HS and I heard it was kind of hard to get into spelman. I have an ok GPA. Any advice?

If you have any chance at all at Duke, you're in at Spelman easily. The good thing is that it has great corporate recruiting, companies seeking diversity head there.

I applied to Spelman and my SAT score was below what they required but my GPA was well above average and I had a lot of extra-curriculars and volunteer experience and was a Girl Scout. I was surprised but I actually got in.But for the most part Spelman is a competitive school but definitely apply because you never know. Make sure you have other schools that you should be able to get into on your list. Try Clark Atlanta. Even though it is not as prestigous as Spelman, you can take classes there and apply for your sophomore year to transfer. Good Luck!
