Attending law school in California -- is there any point where a law student could do some legal work?

Such as helping people with the paper work to file claims in small claims court?

  1. No.  You can do legal work as a paralegal under the supervision of a licensed attorney, but to do anything on your own, you must be licensed yourself.


  2. Nope.........unless you want to get hit practicing without a license.....and your career would be down the drain.......

  3. There are all sorts of jobs you can get as a clerk/intern/extern in a law firm or government agency while you're in law school.  However, you have to be supervised to do anything that approximates representing a client.
