How many of you have made a life changing decision? Examples are, not listening to music of the world, not watching bad tv shows, rededicating your life to guy, or even finding God's call in your life. If you have made a life changing decision, I ask that you share it so all of us Christian brothers and sisters can lift it up in praise.

  1. My brother i say these things not so you will lift me up but for your encouragement : ) I've stopped swearing, stopped watching p**n, given up masturbating, failed today but never again I've now stopped for good because God shall help me and rededicated my life to Christ. Hardest problem now is that my parents say they are Christian and I am a teen but when I got a bit upset about how evil ithe world is they thought I was mad and going to ruin my life. Put me off track for a while but I'm back on the one true path and ready to enter through the true gate of Jesus Christ.

  2. About 10 years ago I was attending church and that's all I was doing. I never attended any other services we had and I didn't go to Sunday School, church picnics, song fests, prayer meetings, men's meetings, or anything else they had. Sunday Morning only.

One day the church treasurer stopped by along with her husband. We sat and fellowshipped for a long time and she told me how hard service for the Lord was sometimes. I asked her how.

She said that only 10% of the people did anything for the church. She also said that she was doing 15 different jobs including cleaning the church, making the bulletins, baking for church dinners, preparing for the choir, and many other duties. She said she does them because no one else will.

That's when I realized that I had been very selfish. It was a life changing event for me. And change I did. I started volunteering for work parties. I started cutting the grass at church when they needed someone. Ten years later I am now an elder in the church and I still do many things including the church bulletin.

It's not just attending one service. It's doing all that you can do. If you don't do it no one will. Or perhaps someone who's already doing 15 jobs.

  3. I dont swear as much.

    I've stopped smoking weed.

I dont like to watch p**n any more.

I've cut my drinking to almost none.

    I dont gossip.

    I dont lie.

Im still working on other things, i am a Christian, im not perfect.

  4. i threw away these books that had spells and zodiac signs and stuff like that becuz i learned that it was witchcraft...now i dont pay attention to signs and stuff....my sign is JESUS CHRIST lol

  5. Music, Tv all materialistic things, I don't put those things above God but my husband just bought me  a beautiful GMC Acadia with all the trimmings for our anniversary......It is AWESOME !!!!  It was a life changing experience that he actually bought me something I liked.....

  6. I can't say as the things I've changed came about all of a sudden. In most cases I just simply grew away from many things. I don't like violent movies, but at one time I was a big action movie fan. The change came subtly, but I can see those changes very well in retrospect.

  7. I quit drinking

    I quit smoking

    I quit cussing

I quit listening to secular music (where I have a choice)

I quit watching most television shows

    I quit witchcraft

    I quit spreading rumors

    I quit lying

    I started going to church

    I started witnessing

I started studying the things of God

  8. i used to like curse all the time and i have cut back on that alot  i hardly ever do it any more

  9. One of my life changing choices besides getting baptized is reading a page in the Bible everyday, and praying afterwords. I know that i have not given up something but this is just as life changing as not watching bad tv shows. I read one page everyday before I go to school and then I pray (praying about everyone's day ahead) ,on the way to school (praying about the school day ahead), and then at night before I go to bed (praying that God forgives my sins that i have done today). Doing this has changed my life, I see things in a whole new perspective.

I have read all of the New Testament and am in Psalms right now.

    God Bless Everyone

  10. I am in serious relationship with Jesus

  11. This is great!

When God entered in my life, that was the beginning of my life. Accepting Jesus as a Saviour was the most important decision in my life because from that moment everything changed! Music was just one of the things (before I was crazy for secular music, I had more than 15 GB on my computer!). Meeting Jesus brought such joy, light, and sanctification I could never imagine. TV? No TV. I used to date guys before and all that stuff young people do (which is not of God's will), and God showed me to get away from that mess and separated the relationship from a guy I've been dating for almost 3 years (he wasn't a Christian). Many friends I had are no longer my friends because of my "fanatic behavior". But I have the best friend in the hole universe. Jesus Christ! God showed me how much unclean things there are in my life, He cleansed me and ever since I can feel His Fingers in my life as He helps me to progress in holiness. I can't really say I know my calling, I'm still a baby in Christ and I pray for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. But for know, I recognize my talents so I try to use them to praise God everywhere I can! God gives me verses so I compose songs for Him! Praise God!

Brothers and sisters, praise God for He is worthy of it!

May the Lord bless you in His Holy Name!

  12. What do you do when you're stuck on an elevator with muzak playing?

Or on hold with your dentist's office?

  13. YES I BECAME MORMON (Mormons ARE christians

  14. "rededicating your life to guy"

Strangely, Guy is my husbands name so kind of.  HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT? ARE YOU WATCHING US!!!!????

    Lol

  15. going to buy a filter to edit foul words on movies. also we don't have t.v. this is a start.

  16. Yes i have maid that commitment. I am happy to say that for one i love havin a seriouse relation ship with the lord Jesus Christ, and i do love bein a christian. I think it is the best descison someone can make for themselves. I am the lead praise singer in my teen church choir and i am proud of it ;D!!!

    Godbless everyone ;D!!

    Just keep in reall!!! ;D

  17. I stopped swearing.  I became a Christian in November 2006.  Before that, my friends knew me as "Sailor", and no, it's not because I knew how to sail a boat (I don't know how), nor is it because of my penchant for smoking cigars and drinking rum straight from the bottle (though I used to do both.  I still like the occasional cigar, but not as much as I used to).  It's because of my love for ... shall we say ... colorful language.  My language could make a grown man blush, and I'm not proud of it.  The day after I became a Christian, I quit swearing.  Completely.  Now I can't even imagine using that kind of language.

My musical tastes have changed a lot.  I used to listen to a lot of hard rock and metal, but I've found that I can't listen to it anymore.  Stuff like KORN, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Type O Negative (which makes me so sad, because I used to LOVE, and still love, Peter Steele's voice), Pantera, and Slayer are just out of the question.  I've tried to listen to them, and I just can't bring myself to get through an entire CD.  I've started listening to a lot more Christian music instead, though there are a few non-Christian bands I can still listen to (most Arcade Fire songs, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Leaves Eyes, After Forever, Iced Earth, Kamelot...).

I also used to like horror and slasher type movies.  I can't watch those anymore.  They make me cringe.

And I can't watch South Park anymore, either.  I used to love that show, and I used to have nearly every line in the movie memorized.  My husband and I watched the movie a few months ago, and I wanted to turn it off after the first five minutes.

Yeah, things have changed since I became a Christian.

  18. Giving up alcohol! I was not an alcoholic, but I was turning to getting drunk to relax.  Now, I've left that.  If any of you all are ever in Houston, you all are welcome to come to Lakewood Church with Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen.  We'll make you feel right at home!

  19. I choose not to listen to angry music or watch violent scenes. I don't do it to be a good christian though. I know God loves me all the time and does not judge me it is only myself and other people who judge me. I make these choices based on the knowledge that what ever kind of energy I submit myself to affects me phycologically.

  20. Yes, close the door on others who do not think the same.  Shun all things not of us.  Focus on what we already know and do not seek knowledge or understanding.  That is the christian way.  To bad we can't just burn them at the stake anymore.  Those were the good old days.
