Question:

Attention Caesar Salad Eaters! Dressing?

I've recently been on a "kick" of eating a lot of Caesar salads. I'd like to find a store bought brand that I like as much as those served at restaurants. I tried one store brand and it tasted way to cheesy for my liking.

For reference: I really like the Caesar dressing at Wendy's, Red Lobster, and Texas Road House.

Basically, they're all pretty creamy and don't have too too much parmesan. Any suggestions? I'd especially like answers from those who've tried one of the above.

Thanks!

  1. most caesar salad dressing have parmeasan in them, try lemon, olive oil and pepper. or balsamic vineagar with olive oil.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

otherwise it is taste and disguard method until you find one you like,

    happy tasting..

  2. I used to LOVE the creamy Caesar dressing they served at Sbarro's a few years ago.  I found out it was Ken's creamy Ceasar.  Wonderful stuff!  (I think Sbarro's is serving something else, but Ken's is sold in stores)

    Enjoy!

  3. forget the dressing,,try olive oil and ground pepper

  4. I've found T. Marzetti to be quite good.

  5. Newman's Own Caesar is good...

  6. Have you tried asking anyone at the places you've listed? If there is a comprable store brand, they may tell you.

Where's the competition in the salad dressing? So as long as you are not asking any major company secret, they may tell what brand or at least what company makes their Caesar dressing.

Could save yourself a lot of time and money on dressings you don't like, by making a phone call or two.

If you ask them nicely, explaining how you LOVE their dressing but can't always eat there as much as you'd like and how you've always found the staff sooo helpful... perhaps if you knew what brand they used you can curb your cravings until your next visit to their fine establishment.
