  1. The sleepywrap looks awesome!

For breastfeeding a must have is a Medela Pump in Style Advanced breast pump!  At first I never thought I would spend that much (they run $250-$329), but this thing has literally saved my life.  I stopped breastfeeding my first child by 9 weeks from exhaustion, but my second is 10 weeks and we are still going strong.

I also love the Rainforest swing by Fisher Price.  It is the first swing I have heard of that plugs in!  You wouldn't believe how many batteries you go through.

Bassinets are over rated, we just the pack in play instead.

I could go on, but the baby is crying!  Feel free to contact me and I can tell a whole lot more :)

  2. The products we loved are the swing, bouncer, and the gym. Between those my girls stayed busy and had alot of fun. Now they have came out with those jumperoos which my sister loves and i am about to buy one (expecting a baby boy next month) and we just bought this new item called the angel care which is a monitor that lets you know if the baby stops breathing for more then twenty secs! Good luck hope you get pg fast!

  3. I just had my 1st baby on June 23. I had no idea about what to buy. These are some of the things I found useful:

-Playtex Drop Ins bottles- I had planned to breastfeed but couldn't & my daughter ended up with gas/stomach problems. I thought all bottles were the same. These helped A LOT & they are sooo easy to clean!

    - Snugli backpack carrier- I also had a sling but she HATED it & I wasn't able to adjust it tight enough. She loves this & always goes to sleep when  I put her in it.

-Boppy Pillow- I have the walmart brand one that you can use many ways. You can prop the baby on it to feed & now I use it to lay her in the middle & kinda let her look around & observe everything

  4. A Boppy nursing pillow

A Babyhawk or other baby carrier

    A yoga ball

These three are the best!  HTH!

Edit - That Sleepy Wrap looks great!

  5. That Sleepy Wrap looks awesome! I would get it!

  6. An infant carrier or sling

A yoga ball (on which to bounce with the baby)

    A baby swing

    A pacifier

A swaddling blanket, like the Miracle Blanket (lives up to its name!)

We couldn't live without any of the above, they were life savers!!!

    Good luck on TTC!

  7. Hey... don't forget us fathers!!!  Let's see... a Diaper Genie, a good glide rocker, an electronic swing (that is quiet!!), a decent monitor, Bag Balm for the rashes (a must), a large pile of pacifiers (sometimes takes awhile to find a brand your baby will like), some kind of hands free carrier, a really good breast pump so dad can get his *** out of bed at night too, and a babysitter that you can trust so you and your husband can still go out periodically.  Good luck.

  8. The single most life saving thing for me was the sleep gown.

I had a December baby and instead of fussing with snaps from onsies, etc..  with the several diaper changes through out the middle of night - I'd just lift her gown and it would be done!  They make them for boys too.  They are a standard part of any baby shower gift I give.

Also every baby is different with what soothes them the best.  My best friends daughter loved the vibrating chair while for mine it was the swing.   Either way you will need some type of soother like this for it will really, really help!

    Good luck with everything!

  9. A vibrating bouncer. My son's had a few toys atttached to it. It was the best investment ever.

  10. My favorite: A mesh baby feeder like the Sassy Teething Feeder

I can give my son new foods and the ones he already loves and you don't have to worry about choking! Plus it helps them teeth.

    An Exersaucer or Jumperoo.

    A Boppy.

Lamaze toys that hang on the carrier.

One of those stuffed animal/blanket things. It is his best friend and he always sleeps with it!

I have a Moby which is almost exactly the same thing and I love it! Its comfortable to wear and he can see the world or fall asleep and snuggle!

  11. My sons rainforest cradle swing-I loved it for when I was busy & needed somewhere to put my son & didn't have to waste batteries for it.

    His pacifier

His carrier-didnt get it until he was about 31/2 months or so but it is great for when we go out & I don't have to lug around a seat in places.

I can't really think of much else right now.Good luck ttc :)

  12. That wrap looks great.  I use a hotslings carrier and also a BabyBjorn, and I'd definitely say that a carrier like the Bjorn or like the one you're looking at was the #1 thing I was glad to have.  It's convenient for going out into the world (shopping, walks, etc.), compact compared to a stroller, allows you to be hands-free, and is a comfort to the baby who likes to be held.

Also, couldn't help noticing that you are TTC with Clomid.  I've seen carriers designed like the one you're looking at, where both twins can be carried at the same time. I wouldn't have been able to do that with a more structured carrier like the BabyBjorn.  Not that you're necessarily going to have multiples, but you never know when a little extra baby dust is going to get sprinkled!

  13. Baby carrier (cloth) like a Mei Tei/Asian Baby Carrier

Everything else I could have lived without for at least the first 4 months  (excluding clothes and diapers obviously)

  14. I LOVE the Reliadose medicine bottle....my son is on a 6 month course of preventative anti-biodics and it make it so much easier to give it to him. You just place the syringe inside the bottle and give the child the medicine while they drink their bottle.

The swing and his pack and play are also great!
