Hey,

Yesterday was my first time snowboarding! It was quite an experience at first (ouch my Buttocks!), but after 4 hours of boarding, my wipeouts were fewer and longer in between.

So I was wondering, how long did it take you to board well and with confidence?

Long live the white stuff! ;)

  1. about 4 lessons sets (each a week long) and i was comfortable

  2. 2 seasons

  3. practice, practice, practice.... seasons dont really matter because i know people have ridden for years but only go a few times a year... my first year i worked at a mountain so i got out over 100 times and by the end of my first season i was very confident... dropping cliffs, doing rails, straight lining....  your cofidence will also depend on the conditions...

Im blessed because i live in Vancouver BC and have access to lots of amazing mountains (whistler/mt baker/local mt's...etc) I have way more confidence to push myself when the snow is deep and the visability is clear... if you are stuck on a small icy hill...im sorry! move west!

  4. 1 season

  5. by the end of the 2cd day i started gettin more control and the 3rd day i was completely comfortable with the board

  6. about a week of non stop falling over!! im alright now but i wouldnt say im good. theres no snow here tho!!! ARRGH have to wait 6 months!!!!! or if i had money i could go 2 canada but i dont... nyow
