they are 9 oz, so they're not too small. i know they are teacups, but we drink tea not coffee, but have guests who drink coffee.

  1. I agree with the consensus on the handle issue. It's de riguer!

Also don't understand how they are not too hot to hold.

Conversely, my favorite coffee cups narrow at the rim, whereas yours flare. The narrow rim keeps the coffee hot much longer, and coffee is generally drunk hotter than tea.

  2. i like them, id drink coffee out of one

  3. The problem I have with them is they have no handles.  There's a couple of Chinese restaurants I go to that use a similar cup.  It takes forever for the tea to cool enough so you can drink without burning your fingers.  Coffee would have the same problem.

Get some cups with handles, and you can save the cost of burn ointment.

Interesting.  Both restaurants also use porcelain cups, and they're hot forever.  I'd like to know what kind of clay your cups use.  Anyhow, I stand corrected, and I'd drink coffee out of them.

  4. I agree with david, I drink both coffee and tea.... ( alot of both but especially coffee). I like a decent sized cup for coffee especially after dinner and I prefer a handled cup. I can drink tea and coffee straight from the pot but my hands have to be able to handle the cup.  As a guest, I would be afraid that by the time the cup cooled, so has my drink! But they are very stylish to look at!

  5. I would Not mind drinking coffee from those, they're cute!

  6. I'm a coffee addict.....  I think your coffee cups are cute... and I'd appreciate the fact that you HAD coffee for me, when you normally just drink tea!  A true coffee drinker will drink it out of ANY cup/mug, as long as they have it!

  7. Honestly, I think anybody that drinks coffee (and my British family is very big on both tea AND coffee) would find it strange to receive their coffee in a teacup. The size is good, but as said before, the lack of handle is no good. For example, I usually hold my coffee cup by the cup itself, but I lace a couple of fingers through the handle just for support when holding it. I would be afraid of dropping the cup otherwise, lol. Plus...coffee is never served out of teacups, it's just a bit of a faux pas in our society.
