  1. Yes, because passion is what keeps me going

  2. Yes, it's the only profession which can touch and mold the future.

  3. Of course!  Despite the frustrations inherent in teaching,  I have a job that is always exciting.  My kids are always saying or doing something that makes me smile.  In general kids are a good example of kind and accepting people without prejudice or cruelty (granted I teach kids who are 5 and 6 years old).  These are the types of people that I enjoy spending time with and committing my professional life to.  Even on my most challenging school days, I recognize how lucky I am to have one of the most rewarding careers.

Plus, who doesn't love the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and have a fresh start every fall? :o)

  4. Yes, I definitely would.

Though a few years ago, I went through this phase of not wanting to be a teacher, not liking my job that much and I took a year off. I pursued other interests but found myself thinking "oh, this would work in my class", "this is interesting, I could bring it over for demonstration on..." and so on. I always thinking of my classes!

And I realized I did miss school, my students, the whole thing.
