Attestation procedure for Work permit in Egypt?

I've been offered a job in Cairo. I'm based in Bangalore and I've done by engineering from Chennai. My new employer wants me to provide the following for processing the work permit:

1. Attested graduation certificate from Egyptian Embassy/consulate (highest degree obtained) in India

2. Attested experience letter from Egyptian embassy/consulate in India

I'm very new to this and would really appreciate any insights to get the wheel spinning. The Egyptian Embassy in question is in Delhi and the Consulate is in Mumbai. Going to Mumbai would be a tad easier... so Can I get the certificates attested from the Consulate instead of the Embassy?

Do i just walk in with the original certificates or is there any additional documents etc that I must possess before I approach the Consulate to attest the Degree Certificates?

Will the same rule apply for the Experience Certificate?

Or do I depend on agents? if so are there any good agents you can recommend?

My employer asked me just to provide experience certificate authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Embassy of the country where certificate is issued.
