Attire for Novice Hunter 2'6" Class?

http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk277/trippedinahole/ Can I wear these in a novice hunter class? I also have the proper showcoat and show shirt, but my tailored sportsmans are too large for me. Can I wear these for a traditional judge, and not lose points? It has been a while since I last showed, I am a bit out of the loop.

  1. what circuit are you on? a lot of times it depends on your level and circut. since you said its been a while, i bet your starting off at a lower level and then i'm sure those jodphurs are fine. i do lower end showing and any tan breeches are fine. also, if your part of a show team, there may be rules there. Also what color is your hunt coat? black, gray, green? you cxan wear tan with any of those but i would very the color from beige and tan and sand depending on the hunt coat. good luck at the show!

  2. Tan is just fine! Not even the most conservative judge would complain about tan. Now if you wanted to wear brown, or black, that would be odd.

  3. You can DEFINITELY wear that.  The majority of Jumping classes is judged on the movement of the horse, the correct striding, the manners of the horse, and the rider's equitation.  Chances are, the judge won't even notice.  I know I wouldn't and I'm a judge myself!
