I'm traveling to San Sebastian, Spain in June this summer. What will the weather be like? I'm studying there and have been told that shorts are not allowed. What about going to the beach - still no shorts?

  1. Who told u that about shorts? lol. too funny. Wear summer clothing but just remember that u are in Northern spain and it tends to take its time warming up during the summer. Many people enjoy going there during the summer because it sticks to spring like weather during the day and somewhat cool during the evening..Over all i think u will have a great time..

    Take care..

  2. I think Sue is right, they were probably just reffering to classes.  Dressing in shorts and sandals for class really isn´t the done thing, and you're expected to dress a bit formally (jeans, trainers and t-shirt fine).

Some clubs might have a dress code too.

Other than that, shorts are fine so don´t forget to pack them!

Expect the weather to be variable, with the odd but not infrequent shower, and maximum daily temperature normally between 20ºc and 30ºc in June. (Mins probably about 10-15ºc)

  3. Shorts are okay on the beach.

No shorts?  why not?  I wore shorts in Spain.  Wear skirts if you're a woman, and guys, just wear lightweight slacks.  Are you sure they were referring to all the time, or only during classes?

Any shorts?  or just Daisy Dukes?

Oh, and Capris (called Piratas) are always in style in the summer in Spain.

  4. Hahaha! don't be silly... go with shorts, obviously they're allowed, but I don't reccomend you wear them because the weather is often rainy and not too hot.
