My wife is extremely sore to the touch everywhere she got a massage, she is throwing up, and has a headache, chills and a slight fever (99.8 degrees). She was fine until literally we were just standing in the kitchen and she was immediately and spontaneously overwhelmed by all these symptoms. Could this all be caused by the massage? Please help ASAP!

  1. I felt like this the first and only time I had a massage, someone said it was all the toxins in my system going crazy and pushed to another area to get out. I wouldnt take a chance tho, not as you have been overseas, get to the doctor.

  2. the massage therapist should have told her that there would be a possibility of feeling worse after the message. Depending on where they worked.  I would call the therapist that worked on her!!

  3. sounds like the symtoms of Lupus, take her to the doctor.

    this is not contagous

dont tell her this cause the mind is very powerful.  if you think the worst, then your body just might imitate what you worst fears are. just scedual her an appointment to the the family doctor.

this is not a lif theating condition   but is a very uncomfortable one, keep a check on her fever, iff it goes over 101. take her to the ER

if this was caused by the deep tissue massage a epson salt soak may help pull out toxin, 30 mins to one hour follow the directions on the salt package

  4. It is possible.  People who are not used to deep tissue massages can and do sometimes get sick after being worked on.  When a deep massage is performed it releases the toxin from in the muscle tissue and moves it through the blood stream, so it is possible for your wife to be feeling sick and weak.   Have her drink lots of water that will help the body wash out the toxins, maybe some kind of fruit juice to settle her stomach as well and Tylenol for the spinning.

I am not a doctor, but it happened to me, a few hours after good massage I was sick as could be called my doc and he told me the same thing I wrote down, went back to the therapist and let him know what happen and he said the same thing, I didn't tell him that I never had that kind of work done before if he had known he wouldn't have did it so hard and deep pushing the toxins out of my muscles....

So yea, give her lots of water, Tylenol, and some kind of juice again for her tummy.

Good luck and I hope she is feeling better soon.

Take care and dKeep the Faith....cya....
