I am an OT student and would appreciate if you could answer the following:

1. How old is your child now?

2. How did you first suspect your child had a problem?

3. How were you told about the problem? What was the diagnosis?

4. What were or are the most difficult symptoms of the diagnosis for you to deal with?

5. How did they get the referral for occupational thearpy?

6. What special services does your child receive?

7. What changes have you seen from occupational therapy?

8. What do you hope to see in the future?

  1. 1. 2 years old

    2.  At 15 months, his doctor was concerned that he wasn't talking

    3.  By my son's pediatrician; autism

    4.  Lack of speech and communication issues

    5.  Was referred to the local CDSA Early intervention program by pediatrician

    6.  Occupational and speech therapy

    7.  My son has learned to throw a ball and will sometimes participate in reciprocal play.  He has also learned to manipulate a variety of toys, and can now stack 5 blocks.
