Question:

Attorney for speeding ticket or not?

I have a court date next wk for a speeding ticket I got. I've gotten some letters in the mail from attorneys offering to take it off my record etc for $50. Should I hire one of these attorneys or just show up at my court date and pay the fines and take defensive driving? This is my 1st ticket in 10 years, only 2nd ticket in my life. Thanks!

  1. there is no point in hiring an attorney for a speeding ticket..

Just pay it off. and go to the classes

  2. I would just pay the fines. Of course, thats not a rule to live by, but my brother got a speeding ticket and he hired an attorney. He wasted so much time and money on this attorney, that it would have been simpler just to pay it off. So unless your attorney has one excellent reputation, I wouldn't bother.
