Au pair? ? how do you treat yours?

hi! my name is Kary and i want to be an Au Pair in USA but i've just been reading some criticisms about how americans treats their au pairs, and mostly say that they treat the au pair like servants, if you have an au pair please tell me are you good to her/him?? it's no fair that just for been latin american to be treat with less respect

I don't have an au pair, but technically the position is one of a servant, isn't it? I have been in a house that had an au pair, and she was not treated with respect, and neither was I! That doesn't mean that you won't find a family that will treat you well though. Just so you know the au pair I saw was French, so maybe race isn't really an issue, it's just the position. Good luck!
