Au pairing in france?

i am thinking of doing au pairing in france at the end of the year and just wanted any advise people have? what are the best ways to find a family? using internet site? how long in advance should i start applying to families? also how much do you get paid in general?

I would definitely check out FUSAC (France USA Contacts). It's a magazine that consists almost entirely of ads (jobs, housing, items for sale, etc) and distributed free of charge in and around Paris every two weeks. If you know anybody there, ask them to send you a copy or two. In the meantime however, here are the websites:

depends where you'd like to au pair. If it is in the South of France around the Cote d'Azur- this website will be very helpful. www.riviera.angloinfo.com  It is an english based website based on posts which is very popular and often checked. I dont know the prices but that would be up to what you want and what the family wants.
