  1. Auburn would wipe the floor with WV. WV is the most overrated team in the country. h**l, they lost to Pitt with a national championship appearance on the line.

  2. absolutely will be a great game .... if its not the game of the week ill be very upset..... btw i guess auburn will blow wvu out just like oklahoma did in the fiesta bowl huh ..... wvu pulls this one out 42-35

  3. WVU was one game away from being in the national championship game last year.  They lost to Pitt when their QB was injured.  Pitt played extremely well.

Auburn is tough and will thump WVU.

  4. WVU 48  AUBURN  14

  5. If WVU can win this one, they are in the NC game. I am not sure if the new WVU coach and DC are as good as RR, but if they are, I think WVU wins handily. I, for one, will be rooting against Auburn all season, because of that chop they did on Dorsey. No way was that not intentional.

  6. Auburn will blow WVA away 38-14

  7. Oh yes. WVU is probably one the most underrated teams in the country who never gets any credit. Auburn has a lot of history and both teams are going to top 10 by the time they meet. It's going to be a pretty big deal when they play.

  8. I think WVU has an uphill battle in a really good game.

Pitt Defensive Coordinator from last year (who beat WVU) is Auburn's Defensive Coordinator NOW

Auburn will run a NEW TYPE of Spread offense that by this time will have limited video tape.

Its going to be high scoring, and it will be a question of Defensive Stamina Late, as to who wins.

As to the away atmosphere; I only have to say that Florida's SWAMP is a little more intimidating with WVU, and Auburn won there last year with a limited offense.  I don't think the location is going to be intimidating.  Don't forget Tommy Tubberville is 6 and 1 against the top 5 teams while at Auburn and that includes a few away games.

    War Eagle.....

  9. Auburn will go off rushing, WVU lost a ton of their defense last year.  White/Devine will score some, but I think WVU takes a big step back this year from the coaching overhaul and hiring Stewart to be head coach.

  10. Both teams are very highly ranked and good, but Auburn has to come to Morgantown on a Thurs. night in Oct. WV will win the game. Auburn does not stand a chance against the cold weather and the crazy fans. WV blow out!! Just like they did to Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

  11. It'll be a good one for sure.  Likely a top 7 matchup.  I think Auburn will surprise the expected winners of the SEC this year.  And WVU is solid on offense, and progressing nicely on defense (it'll be the fastest defense WVU has ever fielded, and that's saying something).  It will be the highest rated Thursday night game in ESPN history if both teams show up undefeated.

Sure everyone bags on WVU for picking Bill Stewart, but what they forget is the rest of the staff.  One of the best assistant groups in the country.  Jeff Mullen's adaptations to "Rodriguez's" (*cough* McGee's really) offense are coming along fantastically.  With the #1 rated O-line, good luck stopping the Pat White / Noel Devine show.  On defense resides an extremely talented and experienced linebacking crew, so the run defense will be tough.

Auburn's implementing a new offensive system themselves, and their defense looks to be fairly decent.  But they just won't be able to handle a Thursday night game in Morgantown (I don't care how tough the "swamp" is, it won't compare).  It'll be interesting for the first half, then the Mountaineers will walk away with it.
