  1. They get there money from the bid free, which charges you for every bid placed, even if you don't win, the following is from there website

    The amount charged to your credit card (or paid via other accepted payment methods) for every bid you place. Bidding Fees are charged at the time the bid is placed whether the bid is successful or not. A portion of the bidding fees are donated to your selected charity. Don't forget to check out the FREE auctions where you use your bid credits for free bidding.

    Most of the auctions do not have end dates, it is like they are open to the Maximum number of bids are placed, guaranteeing them a profit, even after there charity donation, which they use as a tax write-off, I would rather give the $10 to charity myself/
