Audacity Program Troubles?

I have the 1.3 beta (unicode) version of Audacity, (which seems to be the most recent version) but it keeps crashing on me. Is anyone else having this problem? It's driving me crazy. I'll be really involved in a project and then it crashes and I lose everything, and for some reason it can't be recovered the next time I open the program.

Any info would be great, thanks!

Audacity 1.2.6 is a stable release. Beta versions of software are versions programmers put out to discover bugs in the software from users with different operating systems, hardware, and configurations and such. 1.3beta is a work in progress.

Do a complete uninstall of 1.3 and install the stable version and see if that solves your problem. And do report the bug to the developer so they can look into resolving it.
