Audacity problems or other good alternatives ASAP?

Question

i used audacity before just fine and it worked great. but now it plays the song in a fraction of a second! ive tried slowing town the speed/tempo and stuff. ive also uninstalled it and reinstalled it. ive spent an hour trying to figure it out!!! any solutions or other free, downloadable alternatives??

I'm not sure how to fix that problem as that's never happened to be before, but do you mean alternatives for just playing music? If so, check out VLC, a fee media player.

Also try installing the portable version of Audacity from http://www.portableapps.com in a different place and using that copy. There is also a portable version of VLC from the same website if you want.
