Audacity selection problem?

Question

for a long time i used audacity for making ring tones

there was a toolbar or something on the bottom of the screen that would allow me to type in a specific time and audacity would highlight that part of the song

but recently i had to reformat my computer and i went to use audacity for the same purpose but that bar or whatever it isdisappearedd

i use that tool a lot how can i get it back

it let me choose where to start the song and where to end or how long i wanted the clip to be

if anyone knows how to get this back please help

Don't know about audacity, but if it became corrupted in the reformat, you may just need to uninstall it and redownload a new copy. It is freeware, right?
