Audacity trouble, does not have mono in options. ?

My audacity does not have mono so i can not record my playing sound through my speakers. Why? it only have line in, rear mic, and mic. How can i get it to go to mono again.

  1. Just record in stereo and then drop one of the channels.


  2. With audacity open, go to Edit > Audio I/O > here, look for 'recording' section & drop menu, channels; select 'mono'
