Audi Azzurra Sailing Team skipper Guillermo Parada seems unhappy with results – Sailing News
Weather conditions on the Barcelona waters were very fascinating and perfect for complete sailing experience. With impressive performance on the Trofeo Vela Conde del Godo racing area, America’s Quantum Racing was able to claim the top spot of the fleet
standings with 14 points.
The fleet leader on early races, Italy’s Audi Azzurra Sailing Team also secured 14 points after seven races but due to receiving lower finishes in the last two races. The Italian team had been performing brilliantly from the beginning as they clinched two
bullets in the first two races followed by two second places.
However, after that they tumbled down in the next couple of races and placed themselves on the second spot. Still, the Italian team can get back to their previous position with a little hard work in the upcoming races but it seems that the Audi Azzurra Sailing
Team’s skipper, Guillermo Parada is not happy with the way regatta is proceeding.
While speaking to the local media, Parada expressed that they had a good start in the regatta hitting two bullets in the first two races, but after that they tumbled down in the next races. Still on the third day, they were going good in the second race
but the Wallys flustered their line.
He added that they had a good start but got under the bad air of the Wallys and suddenly they were very slow and finished on third podium place. Despite making a superb start in the final races, they failed to finish on top of the fleet and now they are
on second podium finish.
Parada will be looking to improve the team performance in the upcoming races.
