Question:

Audio Not Clean

Hey Guys, I am having a problem getting optimal sound using the DXA-FX for my Sony HDR-FX1. I have followed the directions from the manual for the DXA-FX from BeachTek. On my camera I have the audio switch on MANUAL and set to "3". Internally, I have the mic set to EXTERNAL. My 2 Sennhesirer EW 100's systems are set up at different frequencies and are connected with an XLR connection on the DXA-FX. I have the limiters turned on both units from the back of the DXA-FX1. I do get audio from both and it is close to balanced but there appears to be a lot of extra "noise" and does not have the clean sound I get when I use just 1 of the Sennheiser units with the camera set to AUTO and LINE IN. Is there a setting I am missing? Please help, I have a shoot this week and we need to interview 2 people at once which is why my client purchased this equipment. Thanks, Timtim@coverallproductions.com
