Okay, so this is probably really simple if i ask this properly and i hope someone can help!!

I want to be able to edit more than the title of an audio track. I want to be able to also edit the Artist and Album and Year and stuff that you see when its listed in a folder. There must be something I can click on to make it change or do I need to download a program to do this? And if so, what is the program I need?

help please!

  1. i know that if you use iTunes, you can do all of what you are asking, you right click on the song, and then select "Get Info", on the pop-up that comes up, you can select the "Info" tab and you should be able to edit all of what you are asking.  This will also organize you iTunes Music folder by Artist->Album.

  2. I'm assuming you're working with mp3 or wma files.  You won't need any programs; just right click on the song in question, and go to properties, then go to the summary tab.  Click the Advanced button if you have to.  Now you should see several fields for tagging your songs (title, album, year, genre, etc.).  Fill them out, hit OK or Apply, and you should see the new information listed.

    Hope this helps.
