  1. First, do you live in Los Angeles or nearby?  They're not likely to call you in if you are not in the vicinity, particularly for a small role.  As for having an agent, if they are making the audition public knowledge then no, BUT if you are offered a contract even for a small role I would contact an agency and offer them 10% just for negotiating that contract on your behalf.  Being new you obviously do not know the business so you need someone who is well versed in these things and can look out for your best interests.

Second, yes you just have to wait.  They will call you to make an audition appointment if they are interested in seeing you for the role.  If they call you and you get an audition, what you need to do is show up to your appointment at least 30 minutes early to make sure you can find parking and find the office ok.  If you did not get your sides (script pages) early make sure you get them and go over them several times before you sign in.  When you feel ready to audition, then sign in.

When your name is called, go in happy and with a confident attitude.  Not cocky, confident.  No need to compliment the show and kiss butt.  Just say hello, introduce yourself if the person bringing you into the room doesn't do that for you, and say it's nice to meet you all.  No handshaking, just a great big pearly white smile.  Stand on your mark, do as they ask of you (probably slate for the camera) then do your audition.

They will likely thank you for coming in, you'll thank them for having you, and you'll leave smiling.  That's it.  They will call you if they're interested.

Of course there's such a thing as singing auditions.  It just depends on what you're auditioning for.  If the role requires that you sing, they'll ask you to sing.

If you are interested in Extras Casting, go to http://kidsmanagement.com/kids/index.htm... and get signed up through them.  The thing is you wil need a parent or adult guardian who can go with you every time you are called to work.  You also need to have good grades and good school attendance in order to obtain an entertainment work permit.  It's $30 to sign up with them and you will be called to work as an extra on any number of shows.

    good luck,

    Marianne

  2. There are such things as singing auditions but they are only for singing parts. If you have sent in your resume then you just have to wait. You don't have to have an agent. A lot of people don't have agents.

  3. OMG! So am I. What acting experience do you have?

I have been in a commercial

And I been acting for 8 years

You just send in your resume and headshot and they will soon tell you if they like you by giving you a callback.

Maybe see you at the callbacks!

    Good luck =)
