Audition song and monologue? for Little Women.?

My high school is doing "Little Women" for the fall musical and I'm going to audition. I'm not very familiar with the show, but for auditions we have to do 16 measures of a song and a monologue. I'm a soprano. What song should I sing and what monologue do you think I should do? I prefer not to do things from the show i'm auditioning for! Thanks in advance!

I'm a mezzo-soprano  with a decent vocal range (can hit decent high notes) and I can sing a lot of songs by Helena Bonham Carter in the movie "Sweeney Todd." There's a musical by the same name and the movie was based on it; check it out!

I'd avoid the commonly used Annie and Wicked. how about Rent?
