Audition song help???

Question

i have an audition coming up and you have to sing a song of your choice and read a passage from a play (i don't know what play it is yet, its a school one) the trouble is i'm not the best singer in the world. I'm far from the worst but i really want a big part because i want to be an actress (don't laugh i know it sounds ridiculous)

i have quite a low voice but i don't want to sing a boys song (last year i sung hey there dililah and got the part gentlemen #4 which acctually was quite an important role) i just want a girls part this year

i have asked the opinion of some (brutally) honest friends and they say that i sound alright with the songs:

Pink - who knew

Laura Marling - night terrors

any song ideas will be very much appreciated

I have done lots of theatre audiions b4 and i got into every single one! I want to be and actress too (dont let people who discourage you get in your way!!) i usually get a peice of paper and write down songs i think i wouold be good at then i get on my computer or my fone and record myself and see which song suit my voice the best. good luck with your auditions!!!!

i think you just have to try your best, and try to practice all times, i think you should sing:

or night terrors

and you don't even have to be one of the best singers you just have to express your feelings( if you know if you express your feeling you might be good at it "accidentally" this happened to me already if you know

an easy song, "take a bow" by rihanna.

its good, nice and slow and steady. you wont have much problem singing it.

the help your singing, dont shout or yell, just stay calm and peaceful. make your voice flow too.

and you're cool, not ridiculous. millions of people are exactly like you.

You seem like a very cool person and you can probably handle anything! more than me, anyway..

Believe and you can do about anything you wish!
