How often should someone with APD be tested or hae a check up to see if there apd is getting worse or better? Can it get worse and form into another LD?

  1. If you are referring to a child and that child is old enough for school the child should have an IEP.  If the child has an IEP than they should be re-evaluated every three years as long as the child is classified as learning disabled.  But the parents can call a IEP conference any time they want and request an re-evaluation.


  2. A lot of your answers depend upon the age of the person and the strategies that are in place to help.  In my experience, it does not seem to get worse, but you can have a difficult time learning due to this disorder.  When the original testing was done, there should have been a recommendation for follow-up.  If there was no recommendation, I would contact these people and inquire.
