Audley Harrison says David Haye is a false prophet and a subpar heavyweight champion
Audley Harrison has thrown yet another verbal bomb at WBA heavyweight champion David Haye in anticipation of their November 13 title fight.  This time around Harrison said Haye is the “worst” of the heavyweight
champions, and called him out for not fighting the other two, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.
Harrison and Haye are set to square off at the MEN Arena in Manchester on the same night Manny Pacquiao will be fighting Antonio Margarito in Dallas, Texas.
Harrison, a former Olympic gold medallist, said that most heavyweights want to get Haye in the ring because they know he presents less of a challenge than the Klitschko brothers.
“I know him better than he knows himself,” Harrison opined to the
Manchester Evening News.  “He’s the man of the moment but he’s got a lot of weaknesses. I am going to land my left hand on his chin and he’s going down.”
Getting into a huff, Harrison added, “He’s a false prophet. He’s been knocked out before by Carl Thompson, who was a light-heavyweight.  Everyone knows I’ve got a lethal left hand and I’m going to use
it. They will build him up and say he can’t be beaten – but he’s not fighting the Klitschkos. They want to fight him, everyone does because they know he’s the worst of the three heavyweight world champions.”
Since winning gold, Harrison’s professional path has been one of various trials and tribulations.  In his eyes he believes the fight with Haye offers a kind of redemption.  Most British fans will be on
Haye’s side, but Harrison believes his performance will speak for itself.
“This is about my redemption. I always said I would be heavyweight world champion one day. This is my door and I am going to walk straight through it. It would be the greatest comeback of all-time, bar
none,” he said.
Harrison is the current European heavyweight champion.  He recently posted a video online that depicted him running in preparation for his upcoming bout.  Mid way through the clip he pulled out a small
axe, which Haye later responded he should bring to the ring for good measure.
Haye is a heavy favourite, with most bookmakers placing him around a 1/9 favourite.
