Audley Harrison says compassion important to maintain in triumph
Audley Harrison is going to knock out WBA heavyweight titleist David Haye with “compassion.”
In an interview with The Telegraph Wednesday, Harrison said that he “already knows what is going to happen” in his upcoming November 13 title bout against Haye, and that when he knocks him out he will then “reach out to him and pull him to his feet.”
Harrison will go into the bout with Haye a heavy underdog, albeit one who may have a puncher’s chance. Though he won a gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, many believe he's failed to live up to his potential as a heavyweight prospect. Harrison boasts
four defeats, three of which have been close decisions.
For the past six weeks Harrison has been roundly training in Big Bear, California, known as a legendary training spot for fighters.  He has been running up hills and musing on the philosophy of boxing as opponent David Haye is busy training near the Palace
of Westminster.
"I already know what is going to happen. He can't beat me. There is no plan. I trust in myself to do what I was born to do. I have a God-given talent. My tools are too much for David,” Harrison said.  He continued by putting forth the philosophy that everything
in life happens at a certain time, saying: "I prayed that I would beat David Haye.  Do I deserve this good fortune? d**n right, I do. Ten years is how long it has taken me to reach this point. Nothing happens before it is meant to be. I understand that now."
Harrison’s words directed at Haye are the latest in a verbal boxing match that started roughly a month ago, when the fight was announced.  Many have criticized Haye for signing on for a fight with Harrison, when there appears to be much better competition
available. In response Haye recently said he will fight the Klitschkos, who hold all relevant heavyweight titles save for Haye’s.
