Can anybody tell me a website on how to find interesting facts about August 16, 1956? Its my dad's birthday tomorrow and I wanted to be able to print out a list of things that happened on his birthday so I could put it in his card. Any suggestions for websites?

  1. Here tells you everything for today, just check it tomorrow :P

  2. Try googling the date with quotes around it. I did, and found that Bela Lugosi died that day, and Adlai Stevenson was nominated as Democratic presidential candidate.

You might want to expand it to all of August (and call it "In the month you were born..."), or all of 1956, if you don't have a lot to work with. Here's one site to start with:

Also, try some of the newspaper websites. Some have been working at putting back issues on the web.
