August 8, 2008 date?

What do you guys think about the date August 08, 2008 (triple 8s)? Would you consider triple 8s lucky?

Well, to the Chinese, 8 is a very lucky number. So, dates with multiple 8's in them are seen to be very auspicious. That's why 1988 was seen as the year of the 'golden dragon', and that's also why the Beijing Olympics are being held on the 8/8/08.

My niece got married on 8/8/08 and her and her new husband went to Las Vegas for their honeymoon....it was lucky for them because they both won a lot of money (about $3K total) and they seldom if ever win money.  I wish them luck in everything they do because they seem to be very much in love....

I've been calling the day Crazy Eights! And it's been a day full of surprises so far (and it's only noon here). I'm not sure if it's luck or not, but it's the only time it will happen this century, so it seems notable.
