Augusta National to appear in Tiger Woods' videogame
Tiger Woods' upcoming game for the Electronic Arts Inc., “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12” will present the players with the option to play at the Augusta National Golf Club. Home of the Masters tournament, this golf club has been long admired by all golf fanatics.
The profit from the game will go the Augusta national club’s freshly established foundation. This foundation was recently announced and will work for the enhancement of the Masters Tournament. Also, it is designed to stretch golf worldwide and to help develop
programs. The Masters tournament will take place from April 4th till April 10th. Along with the defending champion Phil Mickelson, many golf stars will tee off at what’s the first major championship of the year.
Located in Augusta, Georgia, The Augusta National Golf Club was founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts and was designed by Alister MacKenzie. Ever since 1933, the course is opened for play and has been going successfully till now.
The Tiger Woods series is a popular choice amongst players of golf video games. The virtual version of the amazing course right in one’s living room would surely be a treat. This is very exiting considering how restricted the club was kept in the previous
years. The first and second rounds of the event weren’t televised until 1982. Also, the broadcast of the event wasn’t allowed the show the completion on the front nine holes until 2002.
The series made for what’s the second largest video game company in the world always features something new and exciting for the players. Previously, Woods game featured the grand Ryder Cup competition for the first time. The game will make an even larger
crowd attracted to the host venue of the Masters and also to the game of golf. The Video game featuring the Augusta National Club will be launched on March 29, 2011.
