Now, this is a funny one folks...........someone on YA just compared Michelle Obama to Aunt Esther (Sanford and Sons), and Sarah Palin to Queen Esther of the Bible (a woman who saved her nation from extinction). What are your funny thoughts about this ? Chuckle, chuckle.....

  1. WOW yeah, Michelle does look like Aunt Esther.

  2. I don't think it's right to make fun of someone's looks--and people who do that probably aren't all that good-looking themselves.  But I admit, I did lol a little when I saw that.  I think it's retarded to fawn over a politician's looks (or the looks of their spouses).  If we were voting on looks, Michelle Obama would get an honorable mention in the talent portion of the contest for her fist-bumping skills, but wouldn't win for her beauty.  She's not horrible to look at, and I don't think I would compare her to Aunt Esther (LMAO), but she's average at best.

I'd compare Sarah Palin more to Xena, Warrior Princess :P

  3. It's not really funny thoughts I am experiencing.  More sadness about your lack of knowledge or any kind of insight, simply based on your past few questions.  I guess some would find it funny, but I don't.   I wish everyone was capable of critical thought and analysis.  Sadly, it's just a dream.

  4. Also Aunt Esther & Queen Esther were both Biblical. Aunt Esther was always calling Fred Sandford a " Heathen ". I wonder if Barack cringes when he hears that word ?

  5. funny thoughts; none.....

if we want to compare candidates ok...but why do we compare candidates with candidates wives?

    edit"

    Way to go John B!!!!!

  6. It seems sad that we have to do that nonsense  when we do not know either one personally.  Come on folks, can't we just leave out the racist remarks about people we don't agree with and not put people that we do agree with on a biblical pedestal and just admit that "I agree with one and disagree with the other because of the way that I am leaning.  No room for racism or sexism and I doubt if very few modern people could match the righteous heroes of the bible.

  7. I don't think it's a logical comparison. If anything it's pretty racist.

"Fred was also known for insulting his sister-in-law Esther, who had disapproved of Fred marrying her sister. He would often contort his face upon Esther's entrance and make disparaging remarks to her, comparing her with King Kong and Godzilla and using colorful metaphors to describe her." That's from Wikipedia describing Aunt Esther. That doesn't sound like Obama's relationship to his wife Michelle, so I don't see how she's like Aunt Esther.

Queen Esther helped thwart the overthrow of her husband, the king, which doesn't sound much like Sarah Palin. Also, Queen Esther was probably dark skinned also seeing as she was Middle-Eastern.

I don't think your thinnly-veiled racist joke holds much water. Sorry.

  8. Strange comparison.
