Auot insurance - Geico vs AAA?

Question

Can anyone tell me which agency is better to have.

Because I have this feeling that AAA is trying to sign me up. I've been getting e-mails from them, and I want to get some info about them vs Geico - experience note.

Please look at both carriers at www.ambest.com. AM best rates all the carriers as well as there financial stability.

You will be able to get a feel of the carrier before switching.

An independent agent is great but the agent does not necessarily handle your claim. Which would be the most important aspect of your insurance.

Don't make your auto insurance purchase using E-mails or cutesy T V commercials as the deciding factor.  You will receive the best service / rates by dealing with an independent insurance agent. You can find one in your telephone Yellow Pages.

An independent agent does not owe an allegiance to any specific company so they can take your particular circumstances, and match you up with the company that will be best for you (which probably won't be either AAA or Geico).

If you want to find the best insurance for you, with your circumstances, just find an independent agent and give him your needs and information.  He will search his data base and find what is best for you.  I'd bet it won't be AAA or Geico.
