Les Dogues have received a major boost in their quest for the Ligue 1 crown, after Chedjou put pen to paper on a contract that will see him stay at Grand Stade Lille Metropole until 2016.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the 2010/2011 Ligue 1 champions, with a number of European clubs keeping tabs on the defender.
Aurelien Chedjou’s agent, Gregory Gelabert, added fuel to the fire, by declaring last week that his client would not mind the prospect of continuing his career somewhere else.
"Anything is possible in football and an exit is very much a possibility," the agent stated when asked about the 27-year-old’s future.
However, Aurelien Chedjou has put an end to that and has vowed to help Lille achieve their targets this season.

rewarded with a new and improved deal.
“Aurelien Chedjou has been a great player for Lille over the years. His athletic power, remarkable technique, his positional sense, anticipation and recovery, have led him to be recognised by his peers,” read a statement on Les Dogues’ official website.
The 27-year-old has made over hundred Ligue 1 appearances for Lille and his experience will be vital for the French club as they seek to rival the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon and Montpellier for Championelle glory.
