The Partenopei chief backs Antonio Conte’s men for the title and believes that Uefa Champions League participation has halted the Azzurri’s league campaign.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has blamed fatigue for his team’s humiliating defeat at the hands of Juventus.
The Partenopei suffered a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of the Old Lady at Juventus Stadium on Sunday, April 1.
Laurentiis believes that the Uefa Champions League participation has taken its toll on their league commitments, and they are struggling to cope with the energy required to compete in all competitions.

The 62-year-old heaped praise on Juventus for a remarkable season, and believes that they can fight for the Scudetto until the very end. However, the film tycoon believes that the Turin giants have been extremely lucky that they do not have any European commitments to deal with, and they come fresh every game.
While talking to the reporters, Laurentiis said:

I was worried from the very start this evening, as the team was visibly tired and we lost Christian Maggio after 25 minutes.”
“We’ve got to scrape what remaining energy we have and rediscover the sharpness that all the teams who competed in Europe are struggling with now. We have strength in depth and not just a first choice XI, so we should give room to those who haven’t played as much, are younger and have fresh legs.”
Laurentiis rejected talks of spree of summer shopping, and insisted that he will look to promote young players from within the club’s youth setup.
The Azzurri chief also backed Walter Mazzarri for his efforts, and believes that the manager is taking the club in the right direction.
Napoli will travel to Rome to take on Lazio in their next game on Saturday, April 7th.
