The Partenopei chief takes a swipe at the Uruguayan head-coach after his suggestions for the former Palermo star to leave Stadio San Paolo.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has blasted Uruguayan head-coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955’s future.
Tabarez suggested Cavani to leave Stadio San Paolo for a bigger club in order to further grow as a player. The Uruguayan head-coach believes that the former Palermo striker should look to move to either La Liga or the Premier League to make a name for himself.
The former AC Milan manager believes that the striker’s style of play is more suited to the Premier League or La Liga.
While talking to the reporters, Tabarez said:
“I don’t know how long he’ll remain in Naples, but he should go and play in Spain or England. La Liga and the Premier League are two Leagues more agreeable to his characteristics.”
Laurentiis was left fuming after El-Maestro’s comments, and the patron insisted that the former defender should think about himself and not other people’s properties. The Partenopei chief has faith in Cavani, and he is confident that the striker will not let him down.
“Tabarez said he should leave? First he should be thinking about his own house, whilst it remains to be seen if clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 have the money to buy him. I hear people say there is no money [at Napoli], but nobody talks to me about it. When I bought [Edoardo] Vargas I had to fork out a lot - if I pay €12m for the Chilean then that means a bid for Cavani will have to be at his valuation.”
Cavani has been the corner stone of Napoli’s recent success. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danubio-c38898 star had an impressive debut season with the Azzurri, scoring 33 goals in all competitions. He followed it with another successful campaign, having netted 23 goals in 31 matches so far this season.
The 25-year-old is heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester United. However, to ward off the inertest from top clubs, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 have slapped a 100 million Euros price tag on the talismanic striker.
