The Partenopei chief expresses his desire of keeping hold of attack trio, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani; reveals plan of new stadium.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, believes that the plan of new stadium will help the club in keeping hold of star players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073.
The Partenopei side is looking to shift away from Stadio San Paolo in the coming years, and Laurentiis has confirmed that the new stadium will be complete in approximately four years time.
The Azzurri chief believes that the plans of a new stadium will not only help the club in attracting few of the top players across Europe, but it will also convince the current stars to remain at the club.
Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani have been linked with few of the top clubs across Europe, and their future at Naples has been a subject of huge uncertainty. Laurentiis believes that Cavani’s sale is not the topic for discussion right now, and he is also hopeful that Marek Hamsik will agree an extension to his contract in the near future.
The 62-year-old insisted that Lavezzi’s agent has confirmed that the Argentine will stay at Naples, and will not be leaving the club anytime soon.
While talking to the reporters, Laurentiis said:
“Walter Mazzarri has a year left on his contract and he will stay. The same goes for Cavani that is absolutely not up for debate, while we are discussing the renewal with Marek Hamsik. As for Lavezzi, he is our symbol. His agent has assured me that he is not going anywhere. As long as the situation doesn’t become a farce, then he will stay. I’d also like to make it clear that Napoli do not force anyone to stay against their will.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 have made rapid growth in Italian football, and from a team which was sitting in the Serie C five years back, they have become a UEFA Champions League playing side. After a slow start to the league, they have found their momentum, and have moved to the fifth spot in the points table.
Napoli will travel to Parma for their next game on Sunday, March 4th.
