Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that the club will not sell Edinson Cavani below the release clause and insisted that the sides interested will have to pay the amount that is required in order to land the striker.
He also added that he had a meeting with Manchester City but the English club’s offer was not acceptable.

De Laurentiis claimed that he had a meeting with Manchester City but the former Premier League champions’ bid was considerably short from Napoli’s demands.
“The only meeting I've had has been with Manchester City, but the offer was inadequate,” the president stated.
The chief stated that he does not need a face-off with Cavani and has admitted that Napoli will not sell the player less than the buy-out clause.
“There is no need to have a face to face with Cavani. If a club offers 63 million euros then we would allow him to leave. The release clause will have been activated,” he continued.
De Laurentiis added that it is not fair on the striker to speculate about his future currently as he is on international duty. for next season.
