The Partenopei President believes that AC Milan and Juventus have been favoured in the fixtures for the last round, while clubs like Napoli have been sidelined like ‘step-children’.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis has voiced his dissatisfaction at the 2012-13 Serie A fixture list, and has stated that the final round has been designed to favour title favourites Juventus and AC Milan.
The calendar for the upcoming season was released recently, and the last round fixtures are set to be Roma-Napoli, Inter-Udinese, Siena-Milan and Sampdoria-Juventus.
De Laurentiis stated his view that the tough last matches of the other major teams, compared to Juventus and AC Milan’s easy fixtures clearly demonstrate double standards.
The Partenopei chief was adamant that the fixture list strengthens the notion that some teams are more favoured by the authorities than the others.
The Azzurri President admitted that the fixtures will make the league more interesting, but maintained that it violates the principle of equality and fairness to all teams.
While talking to the press, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 patron said:
“There’s nothing except mistakes. Someone always gets involved and then one has to ask ‘what is behind these calendars?’ The last round ought to be more balanced for everyone. It is going to be interesting, but unbalanced. It’s like there is one class, then
the rest have to put up with more and more things.”
De Laurentiis made headlines last year as well when he stormed out of the ceremony, because some tough fixtures were placed near their UEFA Champions League commitments.
The Partenopei chief then turned his attention to transfer links, and insisted that while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163 is a special talent his price tag is a little too much for him to consider seriously.
When asked about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, the President was adamant that the striker will stay at the club, and insisted that a petty incident like the mugging will not affect his relationship with the team.
“Jovetic will not be at Napoli this season, nor in future. He is a great player looking for a big club, but also for big wages. We talked, everything is fine. A mugging can happen to anyone, but Cavani is staying here.”
