Aurelio De Laurentiis will remain at Napoli despite threatening to leave the game: Serie A news
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has taken back his words of leaving the Italian football and vows to keep fighting against the mafia that is trying to damage the game.
Laurentiis left fuming during the fixture unveiling ceremony at Milan and claimed that the forces in power have intentionally mapped a difficult fixture calendar for his team. The Patron threatened the board that he will leave
football and return to cinema. He also shouted that he is ashamed of being an Italian and will change his nationality.
The Azzurri chief has taken a u-turn and has claimed that he will remain in the game and will continue protecting the European teams. Napoli will face A.C Milan just four days after their first UEFA Champions League game in 21
years and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan soon after their second game in Europe. The President believes that this is not fair for any team and he just voiced his opinion to keep the game clean from any politics.
“I just wanted to look after the interests of teams competing in Europe and therefore Italian football in general. His protest was that Napoli had very tough matches just days after Champions League appointments. How can you say
meeting one big club after another is an advantage? Those in the Champions League have to be looked after, as this is how we can help Italian football get back to the level it deserves.”
“It’s not that Napoli are irritating someone in power. Either Italian football is immature or there’s something that is wrong."
The Italian refused to comment on Enrico Preziosi’s comments on his behaviour and just said that it will make him cross the line. Laurentiis has made it clear that he will not leave Napoli because he loves the club so much and
he could have bought any English club to make money but instead he wanted to improve the Naples based side.
The Italian FA have setup an investigation committee on the matter and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 are expected to be heavily fined for the President's words.
