  1. Yes you need a visa.  But Visas are really simple in Vietnam now.  Go to this web site.

Send them some money and they will return a letter to you that allows you to pick up you visa at the airport.  I have done this recently.  April 16th and was very pleased at how easy it was.  Safe, quick and no more hassles like in the old days.

    Have fun!

  2. Hi yes you do and you can get a Visa on arrival via a number of website travel agents online. Probably cost $25-35 US plus postage costs (if you want them sent to you) and extra fees. But the price may have gone up since last year.

I think if you get it from the Embassy in Australia it'll cost approx $70 AUD.

  3. Yes you will, check with the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia and ask what all you need to do or go to a local Vietnamese Travel Agent and they can do all that you need.

    Cheers C

  4. Yep. It's a pain to get it in Australia, and apparently expensive.  The advice I've been given is to pick them up in Bangkok/Phnom Penh. Usually 24 hour turnaround there as apposed to the 5 or 6 working days the consulate in Sydney advises.
