Here in the NT we never used to have any speed limits on the open road. Two years ago they imposed a speed limit of 130 km/h. I do a trip every week in the 130 k zone, and to my amazement, so many people drive at 90 or 100.

Do you think it's too fast? Or am I just enjoying being a lead foot?

  1. I'm not an Aussie, but I will tell you that I travel at about 180km/h daily on a road with a limit of 120km/h.  I feel more safe driving faster than the crowd because I can maneuver myself around the idiots who insist on fumbling with the radio, feeding their children, talking on the cell phones, and eating a Big Mac while TRYING to drive.  Plus, I get where I'm going sooner...so I have more productive days than my peers.  :-D
