  1. James Brayshaw

    Tim Lane

  2. Radio; Tim Lane. Daylight second. Though also I like Drew Morphett.

TV; Tim Lane, Dennis Cometti and Dwayne Russell.

No coincidence that the best callers were all trained by the ABC.

  3. I wantd to say commetti but everyone else got in first.

so I have to say dennis commetti.

  4. Dennis Cometti or Robert Walls and i think Andrew Maher is the best Boundary commentator

  5. Either Dennis Cometti or Drew Morphett.  Probably Dennis.

  6. i like rex hunt on radio when i listen to him he gets me right into a match without fail. plus this year with cometti joining the crew he just makes hunt that much better

  7. It was Clint Grybas before he died. Imo James Brayshaw is the best atm.  All the better commentators are on radio, the ones on TV are rubbish.

  8. Brian Taylor by a long way.  Dennis Commeti, the best of the tv guys followed by Anthony Hudson.

Worst: Rex Hunt- can't understand what's happening in the game; Robert Walls, can't keep his bias against Essendon out of his comments.

Christi Malthouse best boundary rider, Ricky Olarenshaw worst boundary rider.

  9. Dennis Commetti is the king of commentary - has THE BEST 'caller' voice, is comical, quick-witted and hardly ever makes a mistake

Clinton Grybas, Anthony Hudson, Michael Christian and Dwayne Russell have great, passionate 'caller' voices as well...

Robert Walls loves Sydney, even if they are playing he manges to make a Sydney reference...

  10. Dennis Cometti, he's light hearted, admits when he's wrong and adds some quirkiness if the match becomes a clinic or mundane..

  11. Denis Cometti and Tim Watson...

  12. Eddie McGuire is the best!!! NOT

  13. you cant beat comitte and his comitteisms

  14. Dennis Cometti of course!

and also the Triple M team... Brayshaw, Brian Taylor, Gary Lyon etc.

  15. I like Dennis Cometti, he cracks me up.

  16. Not looking at anyone elses answers as always, so if i repeat other answers, I'm sorry, so here goes, my favorite is Dennis Commetti, how he managers to put some light comedy into his commentating is great, lines from songs is something he loves to do, i enjoy a game when he is doing the job.

  17. none of the tv guys thats for sure

Bruce Macavaney would have to be the most one eyed commentater EVER

I refused to listen to him, when it was a Roos game

he was all Wayne Carey Wayne Carey Wayne Carey

Wonder what he thinks about careys falll from grace....

    I listen to abc grandstand

  18. the guys on channel ten, cause they arent complete dipshits like the guys on seven. the foxtel boys are always onesided when a vic team plays an interstate team, as they favour the vics instead of calling it down the middle. the best commentary though comes from the radio, they have so much passion for the game. it is really enjoyable. i much rather listen to a game on the radio then watch it on seven

  19. Dennis Cometti...

what a legendary guy with a unique style of commentating.

  20. I think the favourite would be Dennis Cometti, hes got some great one liners!  Personally, I think Timmy Watson, Nathan Buckley and Michael Voss are very FAIR commentators. Tim Lane is alright too, and hes from Launceston!

I can't stand Bruce McAvaney; you can usually tell who he is barracking for!

Most of the Channel 10 commentators are Carton supporters who hate Essendon and if they commentate a Blues and Bombers game they let us know it!!!
