Australian national team manager Holger Osieck has recently announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Oman and Thailand. The boss has recalled the likes of Brett Emerton, Harry Kewell and Mark Schwarzer with the exception of
midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tim-Cahill-c35085, who has been left out due to injury.
The Socceroos are currently atop Group D with nine points from three games, followed by Thailand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Saudi-Arabia-c3000 and Oman.
Kewell and Emerton were not the part of Australian set up when their country last faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oman-c2975, in October. The manager reserved praise for both players who recently returned to the A-League action during summer.
Osieck admitted of the players’ inconsistent run in Australia so far but wants the duo to perform in the upcoming qualifiers. He expressed confidence in the abilities of both players and is banking on them to help Australia maintain their top spot on the
table.
The tactician also spoke of Tim Cahill’s omission from the final squad. He confirmed of the midfielder’s injury which made Cahill ineligible for the final selection.

games being played I wanted to include them again.”
